The Bicycle Thieves (1948) has aged exceptionally well, and there's not a fully lucid person alive who could deny it a bid at the greatest film of all time. You might have met Vittorio de Sica's neorealist masterpiece under the title "The Bicycle Thief," but the singular appellation is a mistranslation of the original "Ladri di biciclette." Salsa

Cuban superstar Isaac Delgado basically co-invented the salsa subgenre of timba with his group NG La Banda before defecting to the United States. He can still rock a microphone, and he will front a group of more than 20 musicians, including his son Isaac Delgado, Jr., in a show that is likely to fill the aisles with dancers. New Music

The Tufts Composers String Quartet performs new work by composers Hahn, Tierney and Toscano along with works by first year graduate composers. Distler Performance Hall, Tufts University, 20 Talbot Ave., Medford, 8 p.m. Free.
