2009 was a great year for Bostonist. We expanded our coverage, got some great new contributors, had lots of sassy posts and commentary, and we had a blast doing it.
The Photo of the Day feature has been a dynamic and creative part of the site, and with 2010 looming, the time has come for a new Photo of the Day editor to take the helm.
Your current editor was granted the post through a contest, and thus wants to continue the tradition.
Here's the rundown: Troll through Flickr, either in or out of the Bostonist group, and find two photos that you would post if YOU were the PotD editor. Send your chosen photos (links are fine) to photo@bostonist.com and please include a few lines that you would run with the photo on the blog - why you chose it, what about it makes it stand out, etc. Finally, if you have any new ideas for the PotD feature or ways you'd like to change it, lets us know.
Please keep in mind that we try to run a PotD every weekday so make sure you're ready for that commitment when submitting.
So, again:
1. Find some kick-ass photos
2. Write a few lines about 'em
3. Send them to photo@bostonist.com
4. Tell us why you want the job & what your ideas are for being PotD editor
5. Get them in by Monday, December 28th.
We absolutely cannot wait to see what you all come up with, and are so excited to welcome a new member to the team.
