Ah, xkcd. It's adept pointing out the geekiness of geeks, and the uselessness of both business and academia. A few months back, xkcd published a book, to the delight of those who choose sedately consuming over anything else, and perhaps to the delight of others as well. If your finger's getting tired of hitting random or previous on xkcd.com, you might try turning pages for a while. Not only is the book entertaining, it also created a school! (A school built on books? You don't say!)

Anyway, ROFLcon, that nerd convention (where that LOLcats guy will speak next year), and Breadpig, are hosting an xkcd signing tonight at MIT. xkcd creator Randall Munroe will give a talk about the school and the book that built it, as well as answer some questions. Go if you're a geek type or if you just want to hear about an interesting publishing project that seems to have done some good in the world.
