-- On Wednesday, officers responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a suspicious looking plastic bag in the area of Princeton Street in East Boston. The bag, reported to be the size of a laundry bag, was discovered to contain the body of what appeared to be a female in her 30’s. The police are trying to determine her identity. -- Lynn and State Police are investigating the shooting death of a 66-year old man in his Lynn apartment today. [Globe]

-- A Springfield man was arrested on Friday and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, operating under the influence of alcohol, and operating after license revocation, after allegedly striking and killing a man in Methuen on Thursday. The suspect's bail was set at $50,000 and he will be arraignment on Monday at Lawrence District Court. [Globe]

-- The Worcester District Attorney’s office reports Leominster police shot a man after he allegedly attacked police with a trash barrel and a knife. [Herald]
