Scott Brown's First Vote Goes Against Obama

Scott Brown is our Senator. He drinks beer, has a truck, a plan for a book and an action figure. And now he has a record, or, at least, his first vote as a Senator. Brown voted with every Republican and two Democrats to block President Obama’s nominee to the National Labor Relations Board. Brown's adviser Eric Fehrnstrom defended the vote as a "vote for jobs" against a union lawyer who is "hostile to employers." If being pro-employer is the same as being pro-job, Brown is on to something.

Scott Brown: "I'll be the 41st vote, not the 60th vote."

That's all anyone needs to know. (Except that come re-election time, Brown will no doubt insist that his "41st vote" was in truth, quite mavericky.)

Yes, I am so glad Scott Brown cares about employers, especially the owners of big companies who have been suffering at the hands of selfish employees who want to collectively bargain for excesses like health insurance and living wages!

  • scott brown's independent voice is ringing out! you can tell by the way he showed the courage to vote against his party on this important issue! oh... wait.

also, a vote for shitty jobs offered by employers who are hostile to workers isn't exactly a vote for the working man--or the economy.
