If you're not the Truck Day type, you might care that today is Darwin Day, the celebration of Charles Darwin's birthday. On February 12, 1809, Charles Darwin was born. He would go on to study science, sail on a boat with the same name as a dog, and notice some cool stuff about how species changed over time.

Last year, the bicentennial of his birth, sparked much celebration. This year, things are a bit toned down, but there is still at least a few opportunities to contemplate Darwin's contribution to science—and, more importantly, to drink. If we find more celebrations throughout the day, we'll add them (or put yours in the comments).
