-- Robert A. Forrest Jr. of Stoneham, a 61-year-old state trooper, was indicted by a Suffolk Superior Court grand jury Tuesday for taking a $50 bribe. “From the evidence we’ve seen, Mr. Forrest sold his badge and sold it cheap,” Suffolk District Attorney Daniel Conley said. [Herald, Globe]

-- If reversing a guilty plea is on your agenda, the Mass. Appeals Court essentially said you better not wait 20 years to do it. A Bay State man who pleaded guilty to drunk driving in 1987 didn't challenge it until 2007 when his license was about to be pulled for four years by the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
