The last time we saw the Patriots, Baltimore beat them so badly, we didn't recognize them. The Herald seems to like the idea of, as the saying goes, putting the band back together so we can see them play like they used to back in 2007, or earlier. David Patten is back in the fold after a year off, and free agent Mike Vrabel wants back in.

Vrabel said:

I’d go back in a heartbeat. Why wouldn’t I? Put it this way, I’d go back, but I highly doubt they’d want me back. I’m not too proud to say I’d go back there. But I still would. That’s Bill’s deal. Bill decides and makes those decisions and makes those calls. You’ll have to ask him. He didn’t give me a reason (why he traded me).”

Bill Belichick can also remake his team by scouting college players coached by his buddies like Nick Saban at Alabama.

Yes, the Celtics play New Jersey today. But, Bostonist's take on the Green hasn't changed in 24 hours. Beating the Nets won't change it much.

It's not quite baseball season yet. We're not ready to even consider what the hell Ultimate Zone Rating (UZR) means, Globe. But, it's never too early for a good baseball photo.

It's not a huge surprise that Canada defeated the USA, 2-0, for the gold medal in women's ice hockey. They were the two best teams who dominated the tournament - Canada won four games by the score of 46-2 while the United States won four games by the score of 40-2 - and appeared evenly matched. The game's not the thing Bostonist is interested in. We think that the Canadian women's ice hockey players party as well as they play hockey. After winning a third straight gold, they celebrated on the ice by drinking beer and champagne, and smoking cigars.
