Cahill Disses Program He's Sort of In Charge Of

tim-cahill.jpg Tim Cahill, incompetent treasurer and independent candidate for governor, had a pow-wow with the Herald in which he slammed Obama's health care bill and said that Mitt Romney's health care reform in Massachusetts has failed.

According to Cahill, the problem with Romneycare is the "sucking sound of money has been going into this health-care reform." We have money in our pockets right now, but thankfully not the kind that makes a sucking sound, otherwise we'd just pay with our credit card. It's an odd thing for a treasurer to bring up, this sucking money, this far into his tenure. You'd think that this Republican-Come-Lately might have said something about this problem a little earlier. He did tell the Herald that he was "worried" about Romneycare in 2008, but he can't very well prove that since he didn't say anything back then. Could that be because the program was and continues to be very popular with Massachusetts voters?

Massachusetts Liberal is incensed about Treasurer Tim and has a few good ripostes to throw at him, as well as inconvenient facts like a Masschusetts Taxpayers report that shows how Romneycare is cutting costs.

Cahill has a history of playing moron for the populist cause of the moment. We'll never forget the day when he all but conceded that loony lawsuit that crazed Pike customers brought against the state and lost last year. Ah, Tim. We hope you can promise to bring that kind of steadfast leadership to the State House!
