Harvard Nerds Up

border-seal-bottom.jpg It isn't quite time for Anime Boston—that's April 2-4—but you can whet your appetite for nerds doing nerdly things this weekend at Vericon X, Harvard's annual shot at nerding up. The festival is sponsored by the Harvard-Radcliffe Science Fiction Association, which might be the only science fiction group to host its own pretend fox hunt. Ah, Harvard.

This year's Vericon is packed with speakers that should appeal to every variety of nerd, from the hard-core to the simply nerd-curious. Included in the slate is guest-of-honor Timothy Zahn, who wrote a bunch of Star Wars novels among other things, and internet-famous cartoonists Randall Munroe, who writes the stick-figure strip XKCD, and Dorothy Gambrell, who writes the existential strip Cat and Girl
