Blastfest tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Jamaica Plainians might be a little disappointed to learn that the festival will be held on enemy turf, at the YMCA Theatre in Central Square, but will be cheered when they see the 22-artists-strong roster of performers. It includes psych-rockers Apollo Sunshine and The Needy Visions, who will hopefully play "Weymouth," and French Cops, along with folksier types, rappers and poets.
Twelve hours of music is a lot to take in, but Whitehaus will also be letting you take it home. The label is releasing its "first ever vinyl mix tape," The Whitehaus Family Record “Family Record”, which is 26 tracks deep, only available on vinyl, and only available in limited quantities. Whitehaus might be the best thing that Boston's young people are doing with their spare time, so the album is essential collecting.
