Boston Blotter: An AK-47, a Blackjack, a Coyote, and Elder Abuse

-- A Boston Police drug unit executed a search warrant on Coleman Street in Dorchester on Wednesday an collected an AK-47, three clips and 39 rounds of armor piercing ammunition. A Dorchester woman was arrested on weapons charges. The AK-47 was allegedly stolen. [BPDNews.com]

-- A Truro couple was arrested for cruelty to an animal after police found a coyote in their home. A male suspect also faces 17 weapons charges. [WBZ]

-- Five family members were charged with elder abuse after an 80-year-old Fall River woman was hospitalized. The woman had bed sores so bad that her bone and tendons could be seen, and had an eye infection and a fungal infection. She was incoherent for several days, and often sat in her own feces and urine. -- Two teens from Stoneham were arrested after failing to stop for two red lights. Officers smelled pot and observed a full mug of beer and an illegal blackjack. [BPDNews.com]
