Brown Turns Down Photo Shoot

5. The Senate campaign. When the most interesting thing to come out of the campaign for Ted Kennedy's U.S. Senate seat was Republican candidate Scott Brown's happy trail, you know our democracy is in trouble.
Senator Scott Brown finally found some media attention he didn't want.

The Hill newspaper named Brown to its "50 Most Beautiful People on Capitol Hill" list. It seems #41 didn't cooperate with an interview or photo request. Any reason to run the Cosmo photo again is fine with us.

Aside from dodging photo spreads, Brown has actual Senate work to do.

He participated in a Senate hearing on reports of unmarked or mismarked graves at Arlington National Cemetery. Brown said that in 2010 when we can make technological gadgets like an iPad, we should be able mark a grave properly.

He'll also have to decide if he's going to vote to confirm Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan, and vote for an energy-efficiency bill that could help the Bay State.
