Oddblotter: Mattress or Bank?

Boston Blotter: Money, Money Edition Consider this a lesson: It's a mattress, not a bank.

Last Wednesday, officers from the South Boston district responded to East 6th Street for a possible breaking and entering. The victim explained he had approximately $8,000-$10,000 hidden under his mattress and noticed it was gone when he went to get some of it. He reported seeing two “DC” sneaker prints at his residence, and a man in the same building wearing “DC” sneakers.

Officers found the man in the "DC” sneakers, and he admitted to taking the money. Police took the suspect, a 30-year old from Weymouth, to Quincy to where he hid the money. He was arrested and charged with breaking and entering and larceny. [BPDNews.com]
