Boston Blotter: ICE Arrests 47 Gang Members in New England

-- Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and other law enforcement agencies arrested 47 alleged gang members from Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut and Rhode Island. The alleged gang members from Massachusetts lived in Boston, Chelsea, Dartmouth, East Boston, Fitchburg, Leominster, Lynn, New Bedford, Randolph, and Springfield.

Approximately 28 were allegedly members of established gangs like the Bloods, Latin Kings, and MS 13. Almost half (23) of the suspects are not US citizens and face deportation.

-- Police responded to a larceny in progress on Congress St. in South Boston. Please apprehended the suspect after he hid behind a sign and tried to flee. He had cameras, cell phones, I-Pods and GPS systems in his possession. [BPDNews.com]
