It was bound to happen eventually. Just like when you knew the Macho Man Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan would never remain friends, Sarah Palin questioned Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown's conservative credentials and said Alaskans wouldn't tolerate his "antics." Wow.
Apparently, Brown voting with the GOP on 82.1% of Senate votes fails the Palin purity test.
The interview with Palin was on Fox Business Network and the questions were coming from David Asman. The word "tool" comes to mind. Asman initiated the Brown topic at around 2:40 by asking if he was "on notice" for supporting the "Pelosi/Reed" agenda. Whatever. A quote:
"Well, you know, take the consideration, though, that that's Massachusetts. Perhaps they’re not going to look for such a hard-core constitutional conservative there, and they're going to put up with Scott Brown and some of the antics there. But up here in Alaska, and so many places in the US where we have a pioneering, independent spirit, and we have an expectation that our representatives in D.C. will respect the will of the people and the intelligence of the people. Well, up here, we wouldn't stand for that."
By "respect the will of the people," we think Palin means quitting your job as Governor 18 months before your term, the one the people voted you to serve entirely, ends.
According to the Boston Globe, Brown's office defended his record without engaging Palin and her unquenchable need for attention directly.
It's no surprise to read that Bostonist didn't vote for Brown. But, we know him a bit, and we think he's a decent guy. So, Ms. Palin mind your own business. Massachusetts has been defending the Constitution a lot longer than Alaska. Worry about your own Senator. We don't want your help evaluating ours.
