Obama on Iraq; McCain Talks Smack

President Barack Obama's speech regarding the "end" of combat operations in Iraq seemed as apolitical as it could have been, and it still wasn't good enough for Republicans. He thanked the troops and promised to support them at home, he graciously mentioned President Bush, and expressed his desire to focus on domestic issues.

Sen. John McCain continues to make himself unrecognizable with belligerent statements like "if we had done what President Obama wanted, we would have failed in Iraq." No. If we listened to President Obama, and Senator Kennedy, we wouldn't even be there.

Bostonist was wondering what sort gutless crap McCain would have said if President Obama didn't address the country last night.
