Someone at WBZ must have checked their calendar, or simply read Bostonist, because they already moved the first guberatorial debate to avoid a conflict with the Jewish New Year. The start of Rosh Hashanah is one of the holiest days on the Jewish calendar. The first debate was initially scheduled for September 8 at 7 p.m. It's now set for September 7 at 7 p.m. The debate includes Governor Deval Patrick, Republican Charles D. Baker, state Treasurer Timothy P. Cahill, an independent, and Green-Rainbow candidate Jill Stein, who is Jewish. We love it when people, or TV stations, simply do the right thing.
