About Bostonist
Bostonist is a website about Boston and everything that happens in it. That means breaking news, arts and events, restaurants and bars, happenings and goings-on, and musings and observations.
Bostonist was officially launched in early 2005 and is authored by a growing group of hard-working bloggers. We love our readers, so feel free to leave comments and, if you're inclined, purchase advertisements. We welcome partners who wish to co-sponsor our occasional happy hours, play a concert, or work with us on other events.

FAQ
Can I write for Bostonist? If you have writing experience, local connections, and an innovative take on some aspect of Boston, we'd love to hear from you.
I've got a news/story idea. Do you want it?
Bostonist is always interested in hearing from our readers. If there is a news story you think we should report on, an item that needs attention in the Boston ethos, or a disaster about to unfold, please drop us a line. We regularly feature a post titled "Ask Bostonist." If you have a question for Bostonist to answer direct those to the magic eight ball we call askbostonist at gmail.com
I've got a Boston blog, why am I not on your link list?
It could be a couple of things. Maybe you're just on the scene and we don't know you yet. Perhaps we're busy working a day job and trying to get the bloggage done in our free time. Have you linked to us, shot us a trackback, or commented on a Bostonist post? We'd like it if you did. Feel free to shoot us an email if you think you've been overlooked on the link bar or would like to suggest a blog we should link to.
Is there a cost-effective way to reach an audience of technologically savvy, hip, young people in the Boston area?
There sure is. Bostonist, through our publisher, is accepting advertisements. Three areas on the site are for sale: Top banner position, side bar, and the 'mid section'. Jake Dobkin can help you secure any of those positions. Tthe ads appear on archive, monthly, and top level pages so rest assured that your precious ads will be reaching any type of Bostonist reader. If you're interested co-sponsoring a Bostonist event please contact Jon Petitt
Is that Ironsides in your logo, or are you just happy to see me?
Ironsides. Thanks for noticing. Our logo contains the USS Constitution, the world's oldest commissioned warship afloat. The other buildings are the Prudential Center, John Hancock building, and the Custom House tower.
