Maybe it's because the Boston city council doesn't really wield that much power, but the race for four seats on the council has been surprisingly quiet. Or, at least, it's been overshadowed by the mayor's race and our new, open U.S. Senate seat. If you live in Boston, it's time for a quick crash course in the candidates for city council by reading Adam Gaffin's notes from a city council forum for the Allston/Brighton district seat or read the Globe's rather more perfunctory coverage of the at-large candidates.
