--A BPD officer allegedly held up the Best of Boston gas station in Roslindale. You read that right. A BPD officer held up a gas station yesterday afternoon. The officer, 44-year-old Michael T. --Police Commissioner Edward Davis has reacted to the information that corruption in the Boston Police Department might have extended beyond former officer Roberto Pulido and his sketchy crew. He even put a video on YouTube declaring that he will investigate the allegations. --Lawrence police have to deal with allegations of excessive force after a resident reported that a police officer was "beaten by [an officer] and knocked unconscious while handcuffed in a back room." The ACLU is getting involved, and Spanish-language newspapers have been running similar stories of excessive force. A BPD officer has been arrested on drug-related charges. The officer, Jose Ortiz, has been on the force since 1986 and worked in the Back Bay and the South End. --A young woman was shot in Dorchester on Olney Street yesterday afternoon. She was struck several times and later died of her injuries. In an absolutely terrible twist of fate, the woman was murdered just before an anti-violence rally planned for that night. Apparently she was just walking along minding her business when she was hit. No one has been arrested yet. --After this horrible incident, we're glad more police will be walking the streets......
