If you decided to take the T in the rash of fatal (and MBTA bus–involving) and non-fatal (and non-MBTA involving) bike accidents recently, you may be not all that surprised to hear that the T isn't so safe either. A man was killed by an orange line train early this morning after apparently falling or otherwise ending up on the tracks at Sullivan Square. The accident remains under investigation. Be careful when transporting yourself from place to place, folks, especially if the MBTA is involved. [WBZ]
Apparently spring is not only a time for fires, but also a time for bike crashes. Boston Biker has a detailed post on a pretty big crash that happened earlier today at the intersection of Charles and Beacon near the common. It seems that a car took a left turn too sharp and slammed into a biker, who was taken away in an ambulance. Folks on twitter called the accident sad, nasty, and even gruesome. Be careful out there, everybody, and wear your helmets. [Boston Biker]
WBZ, Boston.com and Universal Hub report a commuter rail train crash in South Station. The train involved was a Worcester Line commuter rail train, and at least 12 have been injured.
