Bostonist wonders if we’re the only one that caught the Metro’s mistake in yesterday’s edition. A while back the Metro ran a set of ads calling for advertisers to buy into a new "Uncovered" section. Apparently it was coming August 3. Bostonist was curious. Yesterday the Boston Globe announced that it was completing a deal that would purchase a 49% share in Metro Boston for $16.5 Million. The New York Times owned Boston Globe will control nearly half of the Metro’s operation in the Boston location only. The Metro free newspapers operate domestically are in Boston, Philadelphia, and New York. The deal has more to do with advertising revenue.
