Bostonist wonders if we’re the only one that caught the Metro’s mistake in yesterday’s edition. Ok, ok, one of the errors in yesterday's edition – the free daily contains almost as many problems as you'll find on this site. Yesterday on page 2, the headline in the right-hand column reads "Snelgrove remembered at Northeastern commencement". The article, however, tells us about how Victoria Snelgrove, the Emerson student fatally shot (with a "less lethal" pepper pellet)... more ›

Any evidence of Uncovered? Nope. Explanation: Postponed. Bostonist has been moaning about the stake the... more ›

Tommy Tom... more ›

Our older sister Chicagoist was telling us about new ads in the CTA subway tunnel last week. We told her that we’d already seen the Target ads here in Boston, Royal Caribbean before that. Bostonist noticed that the spot the right wall going inbound from Harvard to Central had been vacant for some time. We were jealous and thought that Chicago had up and stolen our ads. Rest assured that revenue is flowing into the... more ›

Tonight, Bolton native, Koren Zailckas, is discussing her highly-acclaimed first book, Smashed: A Drunken Girlhood. With her first sip at 14, emergency room visit at 16 to have her stomach pumped, and drunken college nights of waking up in someone else's bed the next morning, Zailckas stopped drinking at 22 and started writing her story. This is a cautionary tale for all women who drink, not necessarily who are alcoholics, but who have ever drank... more ›
