Senator Scott Brown visited Bob Schieffer on CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday to explain why it's good for Massachusetts that he supports a Republican filibuster to stop a Democratic-led overhaul of Wall Street. Health care reform may have passed and signed into law but that hasn't stopped Scott Brown from opposing it. FoxNews.com says Brown's response can be described as "repeal and replace" when it comes to health care. That means "gutting" the just-passed bill and passing Republican ideas in its place. Brown also wants to enable states with existing health plans, like Massachusetts, to opt out of reforms. more ›

WBOS' EarthFest played host to upwards of 100,000 people yesterday – with nearly 7,000 of them waiting in line not for music, but to turn in their losing scratch tickets. The Herald reports on a bad experience had by one man trying to redeem 60,000 losing instant win tickets, while the Globe reports a win for recycling on the day as The Lottery reclaimed 50 tons of paper. For every 25 losing tickets returned a $1 scratch ticket was issued. more ›
