Boston police found the mother who allegedly left her baby in an East Boston alley on Saratoga Street Monday night. Neighbors heard a baby crying, brought the newborn a blanket and waited for the fire department. Both the baby and mother were brought to hospitals. Police haven't determined if charges will be filed. Massachusetts has a Baby Safe Haven (866-814-SAFE) law allowing parents to leave newborns at a hospital, police station, or a fire station.
