Manny Ramirez was released from jail on a $2,500 bond after he was arrested on Monday for allegedly hitting his wife. He was charged with misdemeanor battery in the first degree after his wife said Ramirez "struck her in the left side of the face with an open hand causing her to hit her head against the headboard of the bed." Ramirez said he grabbed his wife by the shoulders and when he shook her her head hit the headboard. TMZ has posted the 911 call Juliana Ramirez made to report the incident. It's remarkably calm. Ramirez, 39, is barred from contacting her.
