--An update on the murder of Daniel Yakovleff, who was stabbed to death in Dorchester. The lawyer for the man who owned the apartment in which Yakovleff died says that the BPD no longer considers the owner a suspect and that they are looking for a third man who may be involved with the crime. However, the BPD is saying that the owner is still a "person of interest." Police are still trying to find out how Yakovleff went from the Eagle bar in the South End to the Dorchester apartment. Jennifer Finney Boylan will read from I'm Looking Through You: Growing Up Haunted at Harvard Book Store, 7:00 pm, free. Boylan's last work was another memoir about her transition from male to female, and she described the connection between her childhood haunting and the transgender experience in an interview with Bay Windows: "Many trans people I know are kind of haunted by the ghosts of their younger selves, or, if you’re a young person, by the ghost of the person you might become but can’t quite figure out how to undergo that transformation."

The Legislature passed the proposed amendment to ban on gay marriage on the 2008 ballot. Even though 134 legislators don't want the ban on the ballot, all it takes is 50 legislators to move the amendment forward, and 62 legislators voted "yes."
