Tom Brady isn't going anywhere, except to offseason workouts at Gillette Stadium. Foxboro isn't Bridget Moynihan. However, Brady's looming contract year is great fodder for troublemakers bloggers. Brady apparently planned to pass on the voluntary workouts to spend time with his family and maybe mark the beginning of developing a new, hugified contract to keep #12 in a Pats helmet. Bob Kraft responded by saying he'd prefer the catalyst for his team's three Super Bowl titles stay with the team and participate in team workouts. When his billionaire boss says he should be at the office, Brady showed up. Bostonist isn't totally relieved, though. We see Brady boxing and hope it's not symbolic of the tone of any negotiations more ›

Even though the Devern Hansack experiment went horribly wrong Saturday night, the Sox had no choice but to go to the Pawtucket well again Sunday. So they brought up lefty Kason Gabbard to start Sunday's rain-delayed tilt with the Braves. And it went as well as we possibly could have hoped. Gabbard cooled off the Atlanta bats, which were still steaming from Saturday's 14-run nightcap, to the tune of five innings pitched, six hits, two... more ›

brady.gifIn a single night the Patriots worked with more ice than the Bruins could in an entire season. Last night the team showed up at Bob Kraft's home in Brookline to collect this past season's Superbowl Champion jewelry. A majority of the team showed up in style to collect the rings, even minicamp holdout Richard Seymour, Tom Brady (with another nice little gem by his side), and the heart and soul of the Pats, team leader Tedi Bruschi. Seymour briefly spoke to the media about this current situation and mentioned that many things that have been said, unless it comes from him, is pure conjecture - "I'm speaking from the horse's mouth. So reports -- I've heard a lot of reports about I've said this, that, and the other -- but you're hearing it live here, right now: I've never said anything about anything, and that's the way I remain." It's all about the Benjamins at this point - Seymour has 2 years remaining on a 6-year contract that he signed before his rookie year. Currently he's making much less than other superstar defensive ends across the league. Bruschi didn't give any indication that he would be back for next season, citing that he and his family are more concerned with making sure his health is ok and that the Patriots have asked for no time-table with regards to when, if, he comes back. more ›
