To follow up our Halloween Happenings, here's a photo gallery of some pumpkins to give you ideas for your own jack o' lantern--if you haven't already carved one, that is (you're running out of time!). Also check out another of our faves for inspiration (bonus points to anyone who creates a custom electoral map jack-o-lantern). If you still need a costume idea, you can be like BG Lewandowski and make yourself scarce. Take some costume photos tonight and share them with us over the weekend by tagging them Bostonist. And have a terrific time trick-or-treating, or just tricking, or just treating, or whatever you do on Halloween.

With the Communist Dracula Pageant and the Boston Pumpkin Festival happening tomorrow, Halloween festivities officially ramp up for full-blown weirdness this weekend. Inevitably, costumed folks will prance about the area, but watch out for creatures taking advantage of the season to come out of hiding and lurk amongst us. Unnamed sources spotted a sasquatch-like creature yesterday at the Arnold Arboretum. Rumors circulating among the critters at the Boston Aquarium have lead some to believe that the Atlantic harbor seals may attempt escape concealed as elephant seals. Keep your children and baby penguins away from such potential predators. And remember, there still might be some gators lurking in area waterways.
