Two teenagers were sentenced to a year of probation at Franklin-Hampshire Juvenile Court on Wednesday for bullying 15-year old Phoebe Prince, who killed herself in January 2010 at her South Hadley home. Sean Mulveyhill pleaded guilty to criminal harassment and Kayla Narey admitted to sufficient facts to the same charge. Narey's plea admits she could be convicted at trial. Both must perform 100 hours of community service, finish high school and can't profit from the Phoebe Prince case. [Globe] more ›

We also don't like it when the Globe's cheesy headlines could have been borrowed from a reader's comment on a different topic altogether. Four things. Stop it, Globe. more ›

In a situation apparently reminiscent of the movie Mean Girls—but worse—Prince was repeatedly harassed online and in school, and nobody did anything about it: or at least nobody did enough.
