A lot is on the line Sunday night for the Patriots regardless of who plays quarterback for the Packers - Aaron Rodgers might play or Matt Flynn might be sacrificed in his first start - or if the game is played in the snow. Neither issue really matters. No offense, Packer fans. The Pats are 11-2 with five straight wins without a turnover and has outscored their last two opponents, 81-10, and has home-field advantage there for the taking with three games left.

The wheels are coming off the bus. After Monday night's debacle in DC and Tuesday's shutout at the hands of Florida, the Bruins desperately needed a strong showing last night, with Toronto in town and their six-seed hanging by a thread.
It felt great for a second or two, flipping the pages of the local dailies to check in with the Bruins. Win, win, shootout win, come from behind win, win...and then that Monday night game against the Capitals happened. The Bruins came back home to Boston last night a little humbled, but we'd hoped that they were ready to kick it up a notch and not make absolute fools of themselves again deliver a quality game against Florida.
...only makes you stronger. That has to be the attitude the Bruins take today, after having their winning streak stopped, killed, set on fire, stomped, buried, and the earth salted. The good news is, they will never play a worse game than they did last night. It was 6-0 Capitals in the first period. Alex Ovechkin had a hat trick before half the fans had found their seats. Tim Thomas got pulled, put back in to hang out to dry, then pulled again. 10-2 final; the B's have to be happy they play again today and don't have this lingering over them for too long.
Maybe some voters in Iowa had a tough decision to make; not so the AP NFL Coach of the Year voters, who swept Bill Belichick into the award with 29 out of 50 possible first-place votes. The other 21, we're sure, were dismayed by Spygate (why else vote against a guy whose team didn't lose?), figuring that any coach who had footage of 20 minutes of Jetball had an unfair advantage. Bill, we're sure, took the award, nodded grimly, and went back to work.
While we're waiting to see BU and BC face off in the Beanpot next Monday night, we gotta make do with what we have - the Bruins and the Celtics. Aw, that's not fair. The Bruins won one against the Washington Capitals last night in a shootout. It was the night of a thousand shootouts across the NHL (actually, five shootouts), and the Bruins enjoyed one of the victories. And who scored the winning goal?...
