-- 18 protesters were arrested during yesterday's Veterans Day ceremony at City Hall Plaza. They were members of Veterans for Peace, an organization of former soldiers opposed to the Iraq War. The American Legion had placed the group in the rear of the Veterans Day parade and told them that they could not carry signs protesting the war. --A car chase happened in Cambridge last night. WBZ reports, "The chase started in Cambridge when officials spotted the driver of a black Hummer almost hit a police officer as he left the Alewife 'T' station parking lot." This was no ordinary pursuit. One witness described the chase as "insane." The police learned a lesson after the tragic police-chase deaths in Somerville - they eventually let the guy go on.
