A Chelmsford man pleaded not guilty to drunk driving and motor vehicle homicide charges and was released on personal recognizance today in Lowell District Court after he allegedly ran over and killed his wife outside of their home on Wednesday. Harry Conover, Jr., 73, and Sandra Conover, 73, allegedly argued prior to him getting into his car to leave their home. Coverage of the healthcare reform initiative in the media has focused on screaming and yelling at forums conducted by congressional representatives. Real outrage or manufactured outrage? Today, the Herald reports that Niki Tsongas conducted a meeting in Chelmsford about health-care and said it was spirited and people were "passionate" and it stayed civil. Marquis Barker, 38, an officer at Nashua Street Jail, was gunned down after stealing a police cruiser and leading officers on a chase through Dorchester and Mattapan. Police responding to calls found Barker out of control outside his Dorchester home, wielding what appeared to be a handgun.
