Former high school wrestling coach David Castricone was indicted on child pornography charges today by an Essex County Grand Jury. Castricone faces two counts of illegal possession of child pornography. He was arrested in February after police allegedly found child pornography at his home. Michael Varano, 52, of Bridgewater was arrested, for robbing the St. Thomas Aquinas parish center in Bridgewater, for the second time in three months for breaking and entering and larceny on Friday. His 11-year old son was with him during the robberies. Varano was arraigned on April 6 on 49 charges after breaking into 16 homes. During one heist, he brought his 4-year old daughter with him. The North Andover High School boys wrestling team lost their coach, but they didn't lose their state Division 2 wrestling crown. The wrestlers out grappled Natick, 32-25, to win the title for the second straight year, despite the resignation of coach Dave Castricone, 60, after he was arrested Monday on charges of possession of child pornography. A 25-year-old mother and her 2-year-old son were found dead in a dumpster behind their Warren Avenue apartment in Brockton on Monday. Police identified the mother as Maria Avelina Palaguachi-Cela and her son as Brian Palaguachi. The mother is reportedly an immigrant from South America. Both bodies were recovered intact, said Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz. He also said the crime was not random. [WHDH]
-- According to a recent police report, one of Danroy Henry's Pace University teammates dared police to shoot him after Henry, a 20-year old from Easton, was shot and killed on October 17 in New York. Yves Delpeche, 22, of Brooklyn reportedly yelled "Come on, shoot me too," at Officer Brian Bosan before he was shot with a stun gun. Four of Henry's teammates, including Delpeche, were arrested after the shooting. [Globe]

-- A 38-year old Malden woman bit a police officer during a Drug Control Unit investigation in Davis Square. The suspect matched the description of an alleged drug dealer and was observed putting some "unidentified objects" in her mouth. Police tried to remove the objects, thought to be heroin when the bite happened. Charges include assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and drug possession. [Somerville Journal]
-- The Cambridge Montessori School headmaster, David B. Harris, 66, pleaded not guilty to child pornography charges on Monday in Northern Berkshire District Court in North Adams. -- A 47-year old South Boston man was arrested and charged with one count of possession of child pornography and one count of distributing child pornography after allegedly compiling among the largest collections of child pornography in the world. Police found 16,000 child porn files on the suspect's computers. Assistant Attorney General Christopher Kelly said the suspect confessed despite pleading not guilty on both charges. His adult criminal record allegedly includes 55 entries. The defense attorney said the suspect blamed "pop-ups" for the pornography. on his record, Kelly said. He added Shipps spent time in jail in 1990 and 1994. Among the charges on his adult record are assault and assault and battery on a police officer, Kelly said. -- A woman was robbed at gunpoint today during a daytime invasion of her parents' home in Everett. Michelle Nguyen, 24 of Malden, was babysitting her 2 year-old nephew this morning when a man dressed completely in black entered the house and held a gun to her head. She parted with $500.
