In a Valentine's Day heartbreaker, Northeastern had its Beanpot hopes dashed. BU's Chris Bourque gathered up a loose puck in front of Northeastern's goal and backhanded in effortlessly. Bourque, the son of Bruin great Ray, picked up MVP honors in BU's 26th Beanpot in the tournaments 53-year history. The loss was disappointing for Northeastern, hoping for its fifth Beanpot championship, thus continuing the drought that began in 1988. Northeastern played well, despite trailing most of the game, and was able to force overtime with a Jared Mudryk goal with two minutes left. more ›
