We thought we'd figured out everything about Tom and Gisele: rich, beautiful, famous; basically unmatched in every day (except maybe Tom's knee, but let's not talk about that). So you'd expect a wedding between the two to be nothing less than perfect right, right? In an odd turn of events, armed security guards at the couple's dream wedding in Malpais, Costa Rica, shot at paparazzi who had obtained footage of the celebration and refused to turn it over to security. The shot hit the windshield of the photographers' SUV as they fled. We can't decide whether a wedding gunfight (the Herald already used our "shotgun wedding" pun) is awesome or terrifying; we'll settle for a mix of the two. We imagine the wedding was impeccable in every other way, but sadly cannot report firsthand, as we were not invited. Shoot.

Mysterious sources tell the internets that Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen will wed in Costa Rica (where the supermodel apparently has a vacation home) in March 2009. We suppose Tom might as well get it over with in the off-season, but we wonder how it will affect his rehabilitation process. Did he (will he) get down on one knee to propose? Is that allowed? And will marriage mean more or less modeling for the big guy? There are so many questions, not least of which is what the star couple will wear, who'll do the cake, and whether Bridget gets to bring the baby.

The Boston Marathon was run yesterday. We know you know, well, maybe you missed it. Bostonist has been hearing about it from every media outlet, so we though it only appropriate to bring our own little wrap-up from our spot at mile 24. Like many who view the marathon from a position late in the course we watched until they hit Cleveland Circle, knowing then it was time to hop up from the couch and hit the sidewalk for the live action.
