Boston police arrested seven people during the public celebration of Boston's Stanley Cup victory and five people were in court Thursday to face charges Three were arrested for malicious destruction of property, one for assault and battery on a public employee, and another for inciting a riot, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. The suspect charged with disorderly conduct allegedly dared police to arrest him by saying "Come and get me, you [expletive].” He also allegedly extend his middle finger at the booking photo camera. A five-year-old boy was found "unresponsive" on Revere Beach Parkway and his mother's boyfriend was arrested on charges of assault and battery on a child causing serious bodily injury, wantonly or recklessly permitting bodily injury to a child and child endangerment. According to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office, Joseph Testa, 28, will be arraigned Monday in Chelsea District Court. The boy is in Mass. General in stable condition. A Hingham man faces multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, trespassing, and a civil rights violation with injury, after allegedly attacking two people in Waltham last week. Timothy A. Schmitt, 22, of Hingham and Bentley University pleaded not guilty and was held on $2,000 cash bail. Schmitt allegedly attacked a pregnant woman and a deaf black man, and used racial slurs toward them. The man suffered a broken skull bone. Schmitt’s mother said her son denied being the instigator and denied that the incident was "racially motivated." He was suspended from Bentley University. [Waltham Patch], [WCVB]
A 46-year old MBTA bus driver from Brockton was arrested yesterday possesssion of cocaine with intent to distribute, Boston Police and the Suffolk County District Attorney's office said. Police recovered cash and crack cocaine from the suspect. The driver, a woman, was arrested at the Cabot bus yard while in uniform. She drove for the MBTA since 2002. [Universal Hub], [Herald]
Shawn Drumgold, 45, of Fall River spent 14 years in jail for the 1988 murder of 12-year old Darlene Tiffany Moore, a crime he didn't commit. He was arrested with several other men on Wednesday on Cardington Street in Roxbury in drug bust. Police allegedly found heroin and crack cocaine in the apartment, and "cut-off baggies" on Drumgold.
Drumgold pleaded pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to distribute heroin and crack and two counts of violating the state’s drug laws. He was released on $500 cash bail. He hasn't been paid the $14 million he was awarded in 2009 by a U.S. District Court jury.

A 68-year old Framingham man died after a drug raid at 26 Fountain St. in Framingham in which a SWAT team member's weapon discharged, killing Eurie Stamp. Police arrested Joseph Bushfan, 20, of Framingham, and Devon Talbert, also 20, of Boston, for possession with intent to deliver a class B drug and drug violation in a school zone based on a Framingham sting operation. Bushfan was held on $5000 cash bail and has prior offenses. Talbot was released on personal recognizance. Police got a search warrant after a confidential informant allegedly bought crack cocaine from Bushfan and Talbert. The shooting is still being investigated. [Globe]
-- The staff at a Roxbury Head Start program found 17 bags of crack cocaine in the shoe of a 3-year old girl on Monday. The father of the girl's infant sibling reportedly confessed the crack was his. The girl allegedly told police, "My mommy put it in my shoes and said it was candy.'' The suspect pleaded not guilty to child endangerment and drug trafficking charges and was held $2,000 cash bail. -- A Thursday morning home invasion in Cambridge resulted in the stabbing of a 53-year old man and his 11-year-old son son. Both victims went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
