Daily Candy Boston is polling readers of its "Nest" home design, section. You're asked to choose the "sweetest thing" from a list of local designers: the folks at Grand, Acquire Boutique, or Bright Lights Little City. We didn't photograph them, but Bright Lights Little City's lamps impressed us at Bazaar Bizarre. However, we've also enjoyed ourselves at Grand a time or two, cocktail in hand. Acquire is the only place on the list we haven't yet visited, but if you're an informed voter, head over to Daily Candy to have your say.

It's an opportunity to peruse handmade crafts from local (and far-flung) artists. Learn a new crafting technique, get a little something for yourself, or stock up on those obligatory holiday gifts this weekend.

Tonight, you can see Tiger Saw play on a great bill at Somerville's P.A.'s Lounge. Presented by Dan Shea's trustworthy Bodies Of Water Arts And Crafts, the show starts at 8 and features Birds and Batteries, Tiger Saw, Barn Burning, and Early Day Miners. Speaking of trust, Early Day Miners are on Secretly Canadian, one of the more reliable indie labels around. They're having quite a run with Jens Lekman, Antony and The Johnsons, and Magnolia Electric Company. They're a name that you can trust.
