In the aftermath of the suicide of Philip Markoff, anyone who may have been in a capacity to prevent it, is quickly denying any errors or possible wrong-doing in this case.
A day after Suffolk County Sheriff Andrea Cabral said there was "nothing remarkable" about the circumstances leading up to Philip Markoff's suicide, the Boston Herald reported that an anonymous source "close to the Suffolk House of Corrections officers’ union" said Markoff was "hell-bent" on taking his life. Markoff, referred to as the "Craigslist Killer" was previously on suicide watch, just not at the time of his death.
In light of the apparent suicide of "Craigslist Killer" Philip Markoff, Craigslist is getting a lot of media scrutiny again. Specifically, the Patriot Ledger reports two more female escorts claimed they were "robbed or sexually assaulted" by a man they met through the Craigslist. The suspect was arrested last week in a similar incident. All charges alleged until proven under law.
Alleged "Craigslist Killer" Philip Markoff was able to commit suicide using a prison-issued pen and a plastic bag. ABC News reported Markoff also stuffed toilet paper down his throat. He reportedly wrote the first name, Megan, of his ex-fiancee in blood on his cell wall before killing himself.

Philip Markoff, a Boston University medical student, was indicted today on suspicion of killing Julissa Brisman, whom he met through craigslist. Markoff will be arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court tomorrow. Craigslist has changed its policy on "erotic services" ads based on this and similar cases.

The Boston Globe reports that police sources have revealed that police found the underwear of robbery victims during the search of accused Craigslist killer Phillip Markoff's home. The paper does not report on the methods police used to determine that the underwear came from crime victims.
