On Saturday, dozens of artists donated their music and time to Farm Aid (now in its 23rd year) for its first concert in New England, held at Great Woods Tweeter Center Comcast Center. Judging from historical data, over a million dollars were likely raised to provide support to America's family farmers and promote their survival on various fronts.

After more than two decades, the annual Farm Aid concert will finally arrive in Massachusetts on September 20 at Great Woods Tweeter Center Comcast Center. The showcase, usually held in the Midwest and the South, has been creeping up the coast--the past two concerts were held in New Jersey and New York.

Bostonist had a revelation this evening when it was finally made official that the Dave Matthews Band has been the chosen one to play at Fenway Park this summer. Bostonist's little sister (age 16) called in a hurry, asking if we had any connections to getting tickets and we suddenly felt very old. Bostonist now knows what our parents felt like when we would frequent Great Woods (now the Tweeter Center) to see the Allman Brothers each summer in high school. We stopped listening to Dave after freshman year of college but he's still attracting that Abercrombie (or American Eagle) crowd in droves to his concerts.
