Where's Whitey? At the Plymouth County Correctional Facility in Plymouth. As that is Massachusetts' only prison holding federal inmates, not to mention the largest correctional facility in New England, it's James Bulger's new home indefinitely, but at least until his arraignment. Bulger was caught on Wednesday in Santa Monica, California after a tip from a woman from Iceland and held without bail on Friday at the John Joseph Moakley United States Courthouse. more ›

State police arrested 51-year-old Nicolas Cauchy of Cambridge and charged him with making a false bomb threat and disorderly conduct after he allegedly claimed to have a bomb in his car. Cauchy ade this claim during a routine security check in a Logan Airport garage on Friday afternoon. Police checked Cauchy’s 2001 Dodge Dakota and confirmed it was a hoax.[MyFoxBoston.com] more ›

We're starting to think gangster-turned-fugitive Whitey Bulger is kind of like the Neti, or UFOs, or Bat Boy. He shows up when the moon aligns with Saturn or when movies about him hit the big screen. The BPD rounded up 21 perps for smuggling pot and Ecstasy in "Operation Polar Express." Actually, judging from how bags of Ecstasy looked in this picture available at the Globe, the law should have called it "Operation Popcorn." This drug bust involved Vietnamese drug rings tied to Canada.
