On Tuesday, we reached out to criminals. Now, we're helping politicians? Apparently, there are at least two Democrats in New Hampshire who dislike Sarah Palin enough to publicly speculate on her life or death. One, state Rep. Timothy Horrigan, already resigned after he reportedly posted this on Facebook: "I also want her to live because a living Sarah Palin is less dangerous than a dead one." Horrigan's comment followed State Rep. candidate Keith Halloran wishing Palin died in a plane crash. Our advice: When making a possibly career-ending comment, don't do it at the same time as another tool does. You at least get all available train wreck style attention.
After weeks of erie politeness between the Kennedy clan and Senator Scott Brown, Representative Patrick Kennedy (D - RI) termed Brown's successful campaign to replace Senator Edward Kennedy "a joke" as he suggested Brown's expedited swearing-in was a political move designed to obstruct the Democrats' agenda. Brown responded by calling Kennedy's comments “mean-spirited” and said he simply wanted to "solve the problems" of citizens.
Senator John Kerry simply can't help himself and has, yet again, confirmed he is like a serial killer whose victims are jokes. He took on John McCain's unmentionables and the educational bona fides of "the troops" - Bostonist knows there must be more examples but we also think these two prove the point. And now, Kerry unleashed his funny bone on Sarah Palin by saying he wished she had disappeared instead of former presidential wannabe/frequent flyer/gigolo Mark Sanford. Bostonist won't lose sleep if Governor Palin stayed out of, or in, frankly, the lower 48 so Kerry's point isn't lost on our corner of the Internets. However, in light of David Letterman's skirmish with Palin it occurs to Bostonist that if Democrats give her more free publicity then her disappearance, that Kerry mentioned, from the national scene won't come to pass.

As the case against Arlington Senator Jim Marzilli continues to develop, more women are stepping forward with accusations. Although no additional charges have been filed, he already has plenty after Tuesday's debacle, as many as 5 women are saying they were also the victims of Marzilli's inappropriate comments and advances.
Harvard University Kennedy School of Government professor and Obama adviser Samantha Power, whose events have popped up on Bostonist many times and who has a rep as an extremely smart person, lost some brain cells and called Hillary Clinton a "monster" while a reporter's tape recorder was running. She didn't do Obama any favors.
Watching elections returns is sort of like watching a sports championship except instead of blocks, pitch-outs, 20 yard passes, home runs and slam dunks you have... percentages of precincts reporting. And instead of talking heads who break down game strategy and player fatigue, you have guys in rumpled shirts carefully restating in different terms what they said ten minutes ago, when there weren't so many precincts reporting.

Both Massachusetts senators, John Kerry and Ted Kennedy, have close experience with presidential campaigns, so who can blame them for waiting a little bit to make an endorsement? Kerry's dominance in the last go-round came as a surprise after the Dean campaign collapsed in Iowa. The field of Democrats is deep this year, and, like Deval Patrick, our Senators have to be cautious about making endorsements since the Clintons are such a powerful force.
Update: No winner for the Democrats yet, which makes CNN look bad because they were calling it for Obama all day.
