Not all technology startups are out for big money. Tourfilter began as an idea to develop a tool so the founder, Chris Marstall, so he wouldn't miss his favorite bands when they were in town. Unlike some of the other sites like Pollstar or Tourb.us, Tourfilter doesn't track bands from their tour calendars but off of the venues in a specific area. We're digging through the week's music finding that the best deal of the week for jilted lovers comes from Upstairs on the Square. Local rocker Ad Frank plays a show for only $13 for singles, it's $14,000 for couples. Other than that and the iPod DJ Night at River Gods (you can't do all Al Green) we're ignoring the occurance of Wednesday. You'll probably be too busy for music as you're buying flowers, chocolates,......

On Wednesday nights in Allston at Common Ground, friends of Bostonist host iPod DJ Night. Music starts and sign-ups start around 9, and people get 15-20 minutes to play whatever they want from their mp3 players (it's not exclusively iPod so bring your iRiver). Common Ground is at 85 Harvard Ave. This party was written up in the Globe and Herald last week, and is slowly growing to a decent size. Nights like this are......
