--A young man was shot and killed yesterday afternoon in Roxbury. David Jones, 17, of Boston was shot several times on Bartlett Street. This is the 61st murder of the year. The Herald reports that Jones may have been friends with a gang member who was murdered in February of this year. The police don't think it was random. Police at the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and Howes Street came upon a fracas in which a Rottweiler had attacked two smaller dogs and was in the process of trying to have a human as the main course.
