Caution! You are about to enter a no-hit zone! (Okay, there aren't literally zero hits. But, there are very few hits.) The sports team at Boston.com needs an O'Reilly-esque warning before allowing Red Sox fans to look at the David Ortiz Watch. Yes, you can relive each day of Big Papi's never ending struggle at the plate with this painful graph. Great. Thanks. We know there was a big hit for Papi last night, which means there were no dry eyes at Bostonist. This Bostonist couldn't resist that opportunity. Here's something for Sox fans.

Imagine, if you will, the plight of Orlando Magic fan and new Glen "Big Baby" Davis antagonist Ernest Provetti and his 12-year-old son, Nicholas. The pair took in Sunday night's Magic-Celtics game from courtside seats. They felt the breeze of sprinting players blow across their faces as the two teams battled it out for four quarters of play. They watched Davis sink the beautiful buzzer beater we've all watched countless times today.

So much for the idea that the thrilling shootout win over Buffalo would spark the Bruins. They followed up that great win with an official stinkeroo last night, turning a 3-2 lead into a 6-3 embarassing loss at the hands of the Panthers. Zdeno Chara, Glen Murray (yay!) and Marco Sturm scored for the B's, but then the defense broke down and Tim Thomas stopped looking like himself for a while. Bad news all around.

For those who love reality television, you are most likely familiar with the FOX series, "Trading Spouses", where two “couldn’t be more different” families swap the mothers for a week to see what happens when mothers stop being polite and start getting real. One recent episode had the fathers so riled up over one another's spouses that a table was thrown with shouts of "You're going to kill him. Stop it!" in the background. (Riveting, right?) So when this posting popped up today on craigslist’s “creative gigs” section, Bostonist had to give those Fox Television execs some credit. While they might have misstepped by killing off Mischa Barton's character on "The O.C." recently, FOX might be onto something good here:

The baseball gods smiled down on Bostonist and graced us with a ticket to attend the first game of the season at Fenway Park. The mood around the park was exhilarating and obviously upbeat. Fans were hanging out at every single bar down Lansdowne, laughing, eating, and getting numb prepared for the first pitch at Fenway. At around 1:30 pm the mounting cheers from inside the park signaled to all fans that the Opening Day festivities were starting, and they began their mad dash to their respective seats. Bostonist made it into the park by way of Gate B near the bleachers and worked our way to the other side, all the while taking some photos and checking out the newly completed work to old Fenway Park.
