A visit to WBZ's website gave us some new things to fear, both weather related. WBZ gave us a new term to consider: Urban Avalanche. They've also begun talking up the threat of flooding from all of the snow we have.

So what do you think would liven up the brutalist landscape of concrete and brick that is City Hall "Plaza"? A plant or two? Color? A design that doesn't make you feel like you're a cockroach circling a bathroom drain by walking through it?
Through Sunday, January 4, 2009, the Museum of Science exhibits "Goose Bumps! The Science of Fear." Goose Bumps aims to educate rather than to spook; most likely, scary clowns brandishing spiders, airplanes, and injection needles will not confront you at the doors. If you do have such an experience, though, consider yourself to possess enough artistic license to compose several tomes of bad poetry. Or bad illustrations.
