Judging from the Finance Foodie's report, the South End tastes a lot like booze. High-end booze, at least. From rum-laced cupcakes to ice block martinis to winter cosmos to banana bread pudding with rum sauce, the Taste of the South End seems to have been a veritable bacchanal. With proceeds from the event going to the AIDS Action Committee, at least there was a good excuse for having a good time. In addition to the alcoholic treats, the Finance Foodie enjoyed seafood risotto, oysters shucked by Mayor Menino, and other South End goodies.
