Did Tom Brady destroy Wall Street and the economy? He did have some free time on his hands when the American economy wasn't really flourishing. Bostonist is kidding, of course. The leader of the New England Patriots was, through no fault of his own, linked to the mortgage unit at Goldman Sachs, a group of traders involved in some risky moves that went wrong. In what appears to have been a cheesy teambuilding stunt, young traders were asked to emulate Brady's "methodical" approach and his "cool under pressure" demeanor instead of simply being given a yellow stress ball with a smiley face to squeeze. Senator Scott Brown visited Bob Schieffer on CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday to explain why it's good for Massachusetts that he supports a Republican filibuster to stop a Democratic-led overhaul of Wall Street. In the good old days of February, Brown used to be against filibusters. We'd now love to say Brown gave us some wonky reasons we didn't understand that support an effort to stop companies like Goldman Sachs from being companies like Goldman Sachs, and then explain them all to you.
