Josh Beckett got to hoist the championship trophy, ride down Boylston on the duck boats, and will get a huge ring in the spring. He earned the Sports Illustrated commemorative issue cover, the champagne and beer showers, and the reputation for serving as the ace among aces in October. He had a rich season, so we're hoping that such a reminder helps as C.C. Sabathia is toasted as the American League's newest Cy Young winner....

All we can say is at least it's not raining. The humidity, not so much the heat, has got everyone running on a pretty sluggish pace today. Perhaps after another TurboIce things will pick up. Or some sweet nerdy action in the way of the IT Band Bash – you know the guy sitting in the cube across from you who's a rocker at night? Oh, you don't, well he might be. If you're nice we just might update this list for you and throw a few extra in the mix – but seriously, get ready for July. Update we have - two more shows and a fleshing out of a placeholder. Enjoy the sounds of summer as they be delicious.
Last night, as Bostonist and Mrs. Bostonist were enjoying an episode of "Law & Order: SVU" (we totally knew the dad's boss was the rapist!), we saw for the first time a hint of the David E. Kelley-created terrors that await us later in the month. Yes, just as we were fully immersed in the enjoyment of the perfect legal drama, a commercial break brought us crashing back to reality, as we learned that July 28 will see the debut of "The Law Firm," Kelley's Apprentice-esque foray into reality TV.
