Live Review: Grizzly Bear at Berklee

Grizzly Bear played live at Berklee Performance Center last Wednesday, and Bostonist was on hand to catch the action. It's taken us this long to recover from the greatness that was a quartet featuring beautiful voices in harmony eerily lit on a halfdark stage.

Weekly Music Picks

This week we have Death Vessel and Grizzly Bear playing the same night on opposite ends of town, TV on the Radio at the House of Blues and the Needy Visions, the must-see power-pop band of the moment, playing at Great Scott. It's going to be a good week.

We're thinking of format. No, not like the formatting changes that WERS just made to their programming. More like readability of the weekly picks. It's fall now, and since we never really get around to spring cleaning in the spring, maybe we'll get to it in the fall. If you've got suggestions drop them in an email to music at bostonist.com or just right in the comments. But be on the lookout – this...

Also, since you (and Target) love The Hold Steady, may Bostonist make a gentle reminder to pick up tickets to their upcoming September TT's show? Question: are The Hold Steady the rockingest band fronted by a BC grad? Answer: Bostonist doesn't know, but Bostonist does know that you can go to TT's after 6 and pick up tickets without a service charge, and you should go there soon to get your Hold Steady tickets and (since you love hype) your Clap Your Hands Say Yeah tickets. (Bostonist still can't believe that the latter was confused with Get Him Eat Him in an earlier post, but then again, there's really a spate of mono-syllabic bands ordering you to do stuff right now.) Do it before the students come back, with their disposable income et al.
